Artifacts of Joy

These are Artifacts of Joy, where I transform ordinary objects into extraordinary pieces of art! At Artifacts of Joy, I believe in giving new life to secondhand ceramics and tchotchkes through vibrant, hand-painted designs. My passion is to infuse joy and creativity into everyday objects, creating unique pieces that bring a smile to your face and warmth to your home. Every art piece contains genuine happiness directly from me to you because there is nothing in the world I enjoy more than creating art.

My mission is to make the world a better place one piece of art at a time. I blend sustainability with artistry by repurposing secondhand items. In doing so I (hopefully) reduce waste while honoring the origin of each artifact. Each piece is thoughtfully selected and then meticulously hand-painted, ensuring that every creation is one-of-a-kind and bursting with character.

What I Offer:

  • One of a Kind paintings: My one true love is painting. I will paint anything anywhere! Painting brings me joy, peace, and a feeling of control over my environment that positively impacts everyone around me.
  • Illustrated Stickers, Greeting Cards, and Prints: Girl, when I first got an apple pencil and an iPad the whole world opened up to me! Instant erasure and unlimited editing?? YES! I love, love, love drawing and coloring and to get to draw things that interest and excite me to color? Well but OF COURSE! My favorite place to draw is curled up on the couch by the window. I do all the printing in my studio but I trust the stickers and the greeting cards to the professionals! I want my stickers to stay where they're stuck: NO FADING! NO PEELING!
  • Embroidered patches: It's more drawing and coloring! And then I place an order and these beautiful patches arrive at my door! I sell them individually as well as pressed onto hats!
  • Hand-Painted Ceramics: From mugs and vases to plates and bowls, my hand-painted ceramics are perfect for adding a touch of color and charm to your kitchen, dining room, or desk top.
  • Decorative Tchotchkes: I transform small, everyday objects into delightful works of art. Whether it’s a figurine, a trinket box, or a decorative dish, my hand-picked tchotchkes are designed to brighten every space.
  • Custom Orders: Have a cherished item or a chunk of wood you’d like to see reimagined? I offer custom painting services to bring your vision to life on your favorite pieces.

My Process: Each artifact at Artifacts of Joy starts with the journey to find inspirational secondhand items. I then clean and prep my treasures, carefully considering their shapes and surfaces. Sometimes they sit on my work table for moths while my subconscious prepares the give them a new life. Our artist, I mean myself, then brings each piece to life with smooth hand-painted lines, shapes, polka dots, and a lot of whimsy. The final result is a unique, sustainable piece of art that tells a story and adds joy to your everyday life.

Why Choose Artifacts of Joy?

  • Sustainability: I prioritize the environment by repurposing and upcycling secondhand items. All packages are mailed using recycled packaging because I know the artifacts are what really matter!
  • Unique Artistry: Each piece is individually hand-painted, ensuring no two items are alike. I can't help but keep creating and I won't apologize for doing things the hard way because it's worth it to me.
  • Personal Connection: My art is created to resonate personally with you, bringing happiness and beauty into your home. Every single piece of art passes through my hands before it gets to you. This is a one person business so if there are any issues I'm happy to work through them with you.
  • Quality: We use high-quality, durable paints to ensure our designs are not only beautiful but also long-lasting. I will be happy to touch up anything sealed using resin. Resin is prone to scratching and I want my work to last a lifetime (and longer!) so if you ever have an issue with the resin please let me know and I'll help bring your Artifact back to life!
